Presidents Day Activities Pack

This pack is also included in my February Holidays Resource Bundle.

Activities Included:

{From the Original Pack}

1) Leveled Number Puzzlers (8 Total)
Cut out the strips on the next eight pages. Laminate them for
extra durability. Students will enjoy mixing up and putting back
together again the characters while they practice
counting by ones, tens, twos and fives. Various levels allow for all
students to demonstrate their variety of abilities.

2) Leveled Number Mazes (3 Total)
Print out these mazes and have students help the President
find his flag by tracing the numbers in sequential order.
There are three different levels. The first maze includes numbers
1-10. The second maze includes numbers 1-15. The third
includes numbers 1-20. Use these next three pages as
printables, or laminate and use with dry/erase markers for a fast
finisher or center activity.

3) Alphabet Tracing Mazes (3 Total)
Print out the pages and have students help the President
find his flag by tracing the alphabet in order. There are three
different mazes. Use these mazes as printables, or laminate
and use with dry/erase markers for a fast finisher or center
activity.

4) Pocket Chart Numbers (1-100) & blanks
Cut these squares out and laminate them. Use them in your
pocket chart in numerous ways! You can use them for calendar
time. You can pull out the appropriate numbers for counting by
tens or fives. Pull out evens or odds. Use them for addition and
subtraction problems and more! Whatever you decide, kids are
sure to love manipulating these adorable President numbers! They come in AB pattern.

5) Count the Flags (2 Emergent Readers & Activity Mats)
The first activity is a mini book. Students will enjoy practicing their reading skills while they count and place the correct number of flags that the President sees. Also, you can decide if you want the pages to go in numerical order, or to switch them up to make it harder for your higher students.
The activity mats are next. To begin, print out the flags onto cardstock. Laminating them will help prevent tearing and bending. Make many and put them in a bucket or bin at a center. Glue corresponding mats back to back so that on one side students will have a guide, and on the other, they will be able to practice on their own. Laminate these mats and then let your students practice reading and pulling flags out of a bucket or bin to count and set on the correct number word page!
The last set is blank so that you could choose to have students draw in the flags if you preferred.

6) Count, Trace, & Write (2 Total)
Students count the number of objects in each square. Then
they trace the written number word, cut it out, and paste it under
the objects. Next to the pasted number word, they write the
word on their own.

7) Color-by-Vowels (4 Sheets)
Students won't even realize they are practicing reading words
with these fun, President's Day themed color-by-(short) vowels!
Four sheets total. Directions: Look at the vowel in each word.
Use the color key to color the picture.

Students will look at the addition problems in the picture. Then
they will find the answer in the key to color the picture. Pictures
start out easy and get harder with the addition problems to meet
the needs of all students.

9) 3-Piece Simple Puzzles in Black/White and Color
Each of these easy puzzles can be used as a fast finisher, at a center (glue to construction paper and write sentences under them), or just for fun. Presidents included in these puzzles: Lincoln, Washington, & Obama.

10) Presidents' Day Facts Organizer

11) MORE Presidents' Day Mazes!
