Product Description
Students learn about the history of Presidents' Day by answering 18 questions from a provided website. The questions are of varying levels of difficulty and the answers are provided where appropriate. If your students have access to computers with a sub, this can work for a sub.

Sample questions include:
--Define “venerated.”
--Why was this holiday so unique at the time?
--Why did the private sector support the Uniform Monday Holiday Act?
--Explain why Lincoln was added to the holiday.
--Explain the connection between Presidents’ Day and the military decoration of the Purple Heart.
--How might Washington feel about the existence of and evolution of Presidents’ Day? What about a less remembered president such as Polk, Hayes, or Harrison?
--If you went to a museum that had an exhibit for Presidents’ Day, which 5 presidents would you like to see spotlighted there? If you could create a souvenir to be given to all of the exhibits visitors, what would it be and why?
