I have taught using the triangle method for the past 8 years, but just recently began using interactive notebooks. My students loved having a quick reference tool that they could use to help them with their assignments. When we reached the topic of density I began looking for foldable's that my students could use to help them remember the formula. While there are many different triangles out there that can be printed off and used, I wanted something that allowed my students to manipulate and visualize the formula, so I decided to create a triangle that allowed them to do just that. As we progressed throughout the year, I continued to create new foldable's for each formula we came across. This foldable, not only provides the formula but it also allows students to find any of the three variables in the formula. This foldable contains directions on how to cut and fold, along with how to utilize the triangle. There are four different flaps that allow students to cover up the variable that they are looking for while the remaining two are left uncovered. The operation that students need to perform to solve the problem is shown, along with the labels for each variable. Students will no longer need to look back in the book to find the formula and then attempt to determine which number goes with which variable.
I have five more foldable's available for purchase.
- Density Formula
- Acceleration Formula
- Force Formula
- Average Speed Formula
- Work Formula
You can purchase all 6 foldable's as a bundle. Just look for:
