Assess students’ ability to appropriately use the Preterite and Imperfect tenses with this fun partner project. Partners share the re-telling of a childhood anecdote and present the story with projected illustrations. You will receive project guidelines, a grading rubric, a teacher model anecdote and a sample student project that can be shown to classes before they begin their own work.
I typically take 1 class period to explain the project, show samples, form partnerships and give time for brainstorming. The following 2 class periods are used for script writing and illustration creation. The final class period is used for presentations.
