This writing activity uses scaffolding to help students write a paragraph about a past family celebration, using the preterito and imperfecto. The activity can be done in one or two days, and it starts by having the students write a paragraph description using the imperfect to describe a past family celebration. The second half of the activity has the students reflect on a specific event and use the preterito to add to their first paragraph. The worksheet contains examples of each paragraph (the imperfecto and the imperfecto and preterito) and helps the students engage in the process of writing through memory.
Best used for Spanish 2 and 3, and can be used in conjunction with Realidades 2 4b.
