This is a PRETERITE and PAST PERFECT activity where students must write down their schedules for their angry moms, who demand that they must write down what they had completed by certain times every day!
~fill in the preterite tenses of the verbs in the schedule (which are not in order to increase the difficulty!)
~tell what they HAD DONE by a specific time using the past perfect in Spanish.
This helps students to:
1. Practice the preterite (which is always in need of practice, am I right?)
2. Practice figuring out past perfect formulations (the past participle) using the preterite form of a verb! It also helps them understand better how the past perfect is used in conversation and writing.
It really gets them thinking and allows them to move to a bigger understanding of the past perfect tense! I have used this in my Spanish 3 class and it worked tremendously!
