Description

This is one of the most successful activities I have used as a teacher. This simple, printable board-game is filled with questions to practice speaking and listening the challenging grammar of speaking in the past tense. You just need dice and pieces to mark your place on the board.

The questions included in this version are things to trigger student use of past tense. Example questions include:“¿Qué comiste ayer? or “Cuál fue la última película que viste?

The game can be used as a warm-up, for oral review of material they have already learned, for an oral quiz, or even for a day when you need to catch-up on grading, but still want your students engaged in a productive activity.

Included is a brief set of instructions that you may print on the back of each board if you like. They are in English and Spanish.

Download contains:

  • 1 page printable board game with 15 different questions (pdf)
  • 1 page of brief instructions in English/Spanish (pdf)
