This is the produce of three years teaching this novel to freshman. These exercises have been key in developing and strengthening student's abilities to analyze passages. These exercises are particularly useful as you can build on them for an at-home assignment. For freshman, I used these as an in-class activity and then had students write 1-page responses going into more depth (and allowing them additional practice to create a written passage analysis).
