With this resource, students can work collaboratively to plan and create a business of their choice. The tasks in this project cover persuasive writing, oral language, media literacy, number sense and numeration, and collaboration. This project is intended to challenge students and allow students at all levels to participate and feel successful. Students reflect on collaboration throughout the process. Upon completion of all tasks, students are to film a commercial, and set up a storefront. The storefront must display the advertisements made and the persuasive writing piece. Another class can be invited to spend play money at the stores and restaurants.
