This is a mini-unit for primary students to explore magnets. It is a hands-on unit that allows students to conduct scientific investigations to come to their own conclusions about the behavior of magnets.
Day 1: Students will be introduced to different types of magnets and investigate how magnets interact with one another.
Day 2: Students will discover what objects that are attracted to magnets.
Day 3: Students will conduct a paper clip train test to determine which of three magnets is the strongest.
Day 4: Students will conduct a test to find out if magnets can work through another material.
Day 5: Students will conduct a test to determine which part of a bar magnet is the strongest.
