Product Description
Our students at the primary level should understand how to use text features, such as the table of contents, to help them understand the text and be able to use the table of contents to find information. This packet contains four handouts that allow practice for students in reading a simple table of contents. This is a skill outlined in the Common Core State Standards.

The practice includes questions such as:
What fairy tale begins on page 11?
Who is the author of this book?
What type of stories does the reader read in this book?
What is Chapter 4 called?
What might a reader learn about in Chapter 3?
What does the table of contents help you to know?

Four handouts are included in the packet, totaling twenty-three questions about various examples of table of contents. Great for classwork practice, homework, assessments and more!
