In this review activity, students cut out 12 square "puzzle" pieces that have terms/definitions on each side, then must put the pieces together so that the corresponding term and definition are adjacent to each other.
There are two versions of the puzzle; version A has blanks around the outside edges of the finished puzzle while version B has extra terms around the edges for added complexity. Answer keys are provided for both puzzles.
This was designed as a review activity for a high school oceanography unit on primary production (photosynthesis, chemosynthesis, common phytoplankton, etc.). It may be useful in general biology classes with some slight modifications if the types of phytoplankton are not a part of the curriculum.
