Reading strategies are a crucial part of helping students decode and make sense of their reading! Help your students decode unfamiliar words with these easy to use strategies and symbols. The posters can be used as anchor charts to be placed around the room. The strategy bookmarks can be given to your students to help them remember what to do when they come across an unfamiliar word. For extra practice, just print and fold a mini-reader of your choice and apply the strategy you are working on. After all strategies have been taught, students can create a class book describing what good readers do. Then, place the book in your classroom library for future reference.
