Want to expose your elementary students to scientific inquiry? Want to familiarize your students with the scientific method? This booklet features a simple experiment for the students to conduct with the steps of the scientific method. Students learn that an experiment begins with a question, which is followed by a hypothesis, a list of materials, results, and what they learned (in a simple way). This bouncing balls experiment can be conducted with balls of your choice. Your students will record the balls used for this experiment in the materials section. You can have all science groups using the same balls or allow the groups to decide on their own.
