This resource has 31 pages of Fall/Autumn-themed open math problems. (There are no Halloween pages in this resource.) It has problems from each of the five strands: Number Sense and Numeration, Measurement, Geometry, Patterning and Algebra, and Data Managment and Probability.
These open math problems were created using the Ontario Grade 1 Curriculum as a guideline. A few questions have 2-3 variations with smaller/larger numbers (for example, the same question but adding to 10, 15, or 20).
Open Math Problems are useful for differentiation and make excellent three-part math lessons as a variety of possible answers lead to rich sharing sessions.
