This mixed packet of worksheets includes short and long vowel work, number bonds to make ten, finding the missing part of an equation with three addends, addition and subtraction story problems, opportunities to write story problems, practice identifying nouns and verbs, writing sentences with given nouns and verbs, continuing and identifying patterns, finding lines of symmetry, review of/introduction to basic fractions of a whole and of a set, coin values and names, counting coins with skip counting and with mixed sets, and more complex story problems with coins. Finally, there is practice with telling time on an analog clock to the hour and the half-hour.
I made this for my summer school "foundations and readiness" class of first through third graders. It also includes ten-frames and a hundred chart for finding skip-counting patterns. Several opportunities to construct and deconstruct ten are presented. Many pages include "challenge" activities to allow the teacher to use the worksheets with multi-age/ability groups.
