Select a primary source of your choosing. It could be a diary entry, a photograph, a news report from the time, a propaganda poster... anything! This activity will encourage your budding historians to think about the context, interpret the resource, compare with others, and make conclusions about the resource and its influence on Canada/Canadians.
This was specifically made for the CANADIAN history teacher as it asks students to consider the Canadian experience relevant to whatever resource you select for your students.
I created this for a grade 10 Canadian history class using ONTARIO curriculum, however it can be used in ANY intermediate or senior Canadian history class that is required to exam and analyse primary source documents.
This will fit with ANY historical time period in Canadian history!
