This activity allows students to work with a partner to discuss the differences between primary and secondary sources.
Students will sort cards into different categories and reason why they think the card belongs in either the primary or secondary source category.
A power point with directions and teacher notes, an answer key, cards for sorting and a student handout is included.
This is an excellent activity to do at the beginning of the year when introducing the concept of primary and secondary sources that will be used during the school year.
