Prime Numbers & Composites: A set of puzzles to get students thinking about how to break a number down into its prime factors.
Each puzzle requires students to fill in the circles with prime numbers and the squares with composites to make calculations that equal a starting number.
The idea is to help students learn to factorise numbers, to practise using prime numbers and to begin to see that numbers can be written as a product of primes.
Find all factor pairs for a whole number in the range 1-100. Determine whether a given whole number in the range 1-100 is prime or composite.
