PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Eratosthenes, a brilliant mathematician in history, devised the sieve analogy that he used to separate prime numbers from composite numbers. The importance of prime numbers is discussed as being the foundation all of natural numbers. Some interesting background on prime numbers is provided for students where students do a follow-up pictorial biographical research assignment following well-defined instructions (with rubric). The great news is that, besides guiding students through some interesting facts, they can pridefully admire their work when displayed in the classroom. They can either draw their version of the events in Eratosthenes' life, or download from the internet, or cut and paste. Whatever the preference, kids love creating pictorial biographies, and it is especially great to see unique, individualized work!
