Crazy Zebra has created a set of 16 activity cards to further enhance students' understanding of the meaning of prime and composite numbers. There are multiple opportunities for students to explain why they chose their answers and to justify their thinking. Simply picking either prime or composite will not work for most of these cards. Also included is a recording page that you may decide to use as well as an answer key. These cards would be great in a center/station, used in a game, used as a Scoot, used in groups, used as an assessment tool, a handy resource for early finishers, snipped apart and displayed up on the smart board one at a time, or used as a reteach in a small group. This would even be a great activity to leave with a substitute teacher if there is a day you must take off.
