Are you teaching or reviewing prime and composite numbers? Use these 100 + clip cards for easy practice and assessment!
New to clip cards? Students use a clothespin (or paperclip) and "clip" the answer to the question on the card. Then they turn the card around to see whether the clothespin is under the mark you made to identify the correct answer!
In this set you will receive:
✔3 pages of detailed directions for set up and student use, as well as options and suggestions for use
✔99 clip cards (numbers 2 - 100)
✔5 blank cards (so you can add larger numbers of choice to extend your learners)
✔8 assessment cards for accountability - students are asked to explain in writing why a number is prime or composite; choices with numbers selected and left blank are included
✔Full page answer keys for each card
This product is designed to be ink-friendly and does not use color ink for student work. For my classroom, I print my cards on neon and colored cardstock to enhance the design. If you need to conserve paper, these can also easily be printed two pages to a page (so 8 cards per paper). This size will work for student use, as well.
These cards are great for centers, progress monitoring, response to intervention, and assessment. Because you have several choices for the content, you can easily differentiate if needed. You can divide your cards into groups of consecutive numbers (2 - 20, 21 - 40, etc.) and give students progressively harder cards, or mix the cards together (ex. 3, 15, 67, 89, etc.). Written assessment pieces round out the cards.
* Please note, you will need clothespins for your students to use these as self-checking assessments. My students enjoy using the mini clothespins, but the normal size ones work just as well. *
