This is a fun way to practice identifying "Prime & Composite" numbers with your students. The second game board can be used with any prime or composite number.
First, students decide who will be “x’s” and who will be “o’s”. This game is played like a traditional Tic-Tac-Toe” game. However, when a student selects a square they will need to identify if it is “Prime or Composite”. Then, they will need to CORRECTLY explain to their partner why the number is either prime or composite. If they are able to both correctly identify the number and correctly explain their choice, they may then put their “X” or “O” in the space.
* A blank game board is also provided to allow students to come up with their own numbers and explain to to their partners if they are prime or composite prior to putting in an "X" or "O".
