Product Description
In this activity, students examine cards with 4 numbers or models. One number has a characteristic (either prime or composite or even or odd) that none of the other three numbers have. Students should identify each number/model as prime or composite and even or odd to help determine the number that is different. Students record the letter of the number/model that is different from the other three. Students should record why the number is not the same.

There are 2 sets of 20 cards included in this product for a total of 40 oddball cards. Answer keys are included.

This product helps support 2016 Math SOL 5.3:

The student will
a) identify and describe the characteristics of prime and composite numbers; and
b) identify and describe the characteristics of even and odd numbers.
