A fun center or partner activity for the fall/Halloween season! Students sort 49 candy pieces into the correct trick or treat bag (Prime, Composite, Odd, & Even). This is a great activity, that still involves learning, that can be used on a fall festival/Halloween party day.
Cut and laminate each of the trick or treat bags. You can then choose to cut and laminate each of the candy pieces or copy a set of numbers for each student to use. I have used these sorts a variety of ways in my classroom. Sometimes, I have students sort all of the candy pieces at once and other times I have them do one type of candy at a time and stretch the activity over several days. Incorporates numbers 1-99. If you choose to break up this activity over several days, there are 16 candy corn pieces, 18 wrapped candy pieces, and 15 lollipops.
Common Core standards are listed at the top of the product page. Virginia SOLs included:
4.5, 5.3a, 5.3b
