This product is used to promote Primer Sight Word recognition in print. I created this product to use in my self-contained elementary classroom, but this could be used with students in regular education, an Inclusion setting, or a home-school environment. Essentially, any child who is learning Primer sight words.
This product is a whole page size option (one sight word per sheet). I have a half page option in my store as well to reduce paper usage (two sight words per sheet, which you cut in half). You could also use the half page option in your interactive notebooks.
The visual directions along with the print directions promote independence for non-readers or students in a Special Needs classroom. This is also good for working on fine motor skills for those children who needs it.
Instructions for easy usage:
1- Give each student a worksheet.
2- Have them trace the sight word on the page.
3- Provide any print materials you can get your hands on! (old magazines, newspapers, sale papers, catalogs etc.)
4- Allow students to cut whole words, or piece individual letters together to create the sight word.
5- Students will glue letter/words to their worksheet.
Great for center work!
