Product Description
A great set of movie questions for the 2007 PBS documentary, "Prince Among Slaves", which is narrated by actor and rapper Mos Def. The film tells the story of Abdulrahman Ibrahim Ibn Sori, a prince from West Africa who was made a slave in the United States and freed 40 years later. Includes a great final analysis that ties in the current issue of slave reparations before the US Congress.

I have used this video with my 9th grade American History students as an example of the American slave trade in US History and I have also used it with my 11th grade World History students as an example of the international reach of the African slave trade.
