This 41 slide partially-animated PowerPoint presentation is a great introduction to the principles of design!
Students are introduced to the individual principles, related content (for example repetition relates to rhythm and pattern as well), are asked to identify how principles are being used in famous pieces of artwork, and are given examples of how certain principles can be influenced or created.
The principles that are covered in this presentation are: balance, variety, unity, movement, emphasis, repetition (and rhythm), scale, and proportion
