I used this text with my kids when we were studying Spain in Social Studies. I always like to pull in texts (especially fairy tales) from the country we are studying.
This story is a great one that students (especially the boys) LOVE. This is a fairy tale which was translated into English by Andy Lang in 1904. This story is in the public domain at this point, just FYI.

On each page of the text, there is a side bar where students are asked to write the most important information from the page, as well as to "Color by Comprehension."

Keep checking back as I will finish up fairy tale packets for other countries!!
