Halloween themed language activities for Speech/Language therapy or classroom Language Arts lessons! Activity worksheets are ready to print and go. They cover a variety of language skills/concepts. The following are the activities involved:
-Create a Spooky Sentence: Students have halloween themed nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs and prepositions to choose from. Students must use a word from each box to write spooky sentences.
-Scary Scrambles: Students must unscramble Halloween sentences and put the words in the correct order. Also targets capitalization and punctuation in sentences.
-Scaredy "Cat"egories: Students must name at least 3 items in the categories listed on the Halloween cats.
-Dreadful Descriptions: Students draw a picture of a Halloween item. Then, they must fill out the description parts (category, color, parts, shape, size, location, composition, action, etc). Using those description parts, students then can write a paragraph about their items.
-Spine Tingling Similes and Menacing Metaphors: Students must color each ghost according to whether it is a simile or metaphor and then write on each ghost what the simile/metaphor is comparing.
-Pumpkin Parts of Speech: Students must sort given words into each parts of speech pumpkin.
