Pages 3-8 are multi-task category worksheets. These worksheets have students identify the items in a category, re-state the category, and play a game that has students state items in a category. This worksheet is great for homework, as the game wheel can be a fun family activity.
Using a pencil and paper clip, create a spinner for the wheel provided. This can be done by placing the loop of a paper clip and the point of a pencil in the center of the circle. Spin the paper clip. Name at least 3 items that would fit into the category that the paper clip lands on. Who can name the most?!
Pages 9-16 are Do-A-Dot worksheet pages. There are 2 types of worksheets. One has gumballs with categories. Students are to state at least 3 items in each group. Another, has 3 items in a gumball and the student must state what category they are in. As students respond to the task, they can use a paint dobber or crayon to color in the gumball.
Page 17 is a board game for students to play. As they roll dice and move around the board, they can state what category the item they land on may be in.
