Included are 7 poetry packets for students. All you need to do is print back to back, fold the paper in half, and you have yourself a poetry lesson with higher-level questions.
Included are the following poetry packets:
*Mary's Lamb by Sarah Josepha Hale
*The Caterpillar by Robert Graves
*The Fieldmouse by Cecil Frances Alexander
*The Sea by Lewis Carroll
*The Star by Jane Taylor
*The Things That Matter by E. Nesbit
*The Walrus and the Carpenter by Lewis Carroll
Each packet includes the poem (all of which are in the public domain), as well as 5 questions asking students to analyze the poem.
Also included are 8 vocabulary posters/anchor charts to help students deepen their understanding of poetry:
These are great to use whole class, or to use in centers, or even in guided reading groups. I tried to include poems here that were on varied levels, and that most students could pull apart and understand on a deeper level from third grade and higher.
Thanks for looking!!
