Here are some activity that I have applied in my class:

=== Pick and Act ===

Activity type: Group
Number of students: >2

After printing and cutting into 36 verb cards, let your students cut them, it makes them relax.

Before you start the activity, you may consider some verbs to use in this game from the pack, some may be removed. Let the student sit around the table and let the first one pick from the pile, not to let any sees the card.

Now tell the first student to act as the card says. For example, the card has “swim”, he/she must act swimming to everyone and let them guess what action is it or let them quietly write the word “swim” on the paper which you may continue teaching them in spelling.

Then, let the next student pick and act.

=== Pick and Make it Past form ===

Activity type: Single or group
Number of students: any

This activity is for testing my students who study grammar. I used to apply this to my individual class and it worked well for him. I tested him about past form of the verb. Let them pick one card up and tell the past form of it. For example: he picks up a card of “swim”, he must say “swam” or even “swum” and then write it down to the table.

He was going to have a test in this lesson, so I applied it.
