Why I created this resource
I made this Ebook because of two different student populations I have taught.
The first student population was a 7th grade elective class I had for 10 weeks. In order for these kids to feel successful, confident, and to call themselves musicians, I needed to skip the music-reading and get straight into the music-playing. Everyone has their own philosophy of teaching and mine is that students should feel successful from the first day they touch the instrument -this will leave them hungry for more.

The second student population (my current one) is in a Japanese elementary school. The Japanese music curriculum takes a very slow process towards teaching music-reading. The biggest focus areas are singing and some piano/recorder, but the content doesn't "break it down" for students, if you know what I mean.
I developed these scales to use with them now. I want them to get used to moving their hands on the ukulele and I wanted some warm-ups to use at the beginning of every ukulele unit. I will expand into playing the warm-up scales and then following it with a chord progression.
