This is a set of printable, illustrated cards to help Elementary students understand fractions, numerators, denominators, equivalents etc.
Make a Fraction Number Line with these Cards
The visual clues lead children to quickly realise the relationship between the numerator and denominator. Playing games gives practice in reading and understanding both the graphic and numerical fraction, and matching both.
Print, cut and laminate the cards, and they become a popular activities in Math Groups rotation.
It is a huge activity to put all 64 cards in order, but you can select particular sets for individual students or small groups. Then each group can come together to organise the complete line.
In class or groups, you can also play "I Have ... Who Has?"
Some children created their own game, playing SNAP
with equivalent fractions, which impressed me! So there are many activities and uses.
There are 17 pages, 4 cards per page. All denominators 1-10 then some commons eg 25, 50 100
You have the option to print US letter or A4 paper size.
I also have a Fraction Bingo Game that may be a useful extension.
