This is a word document with a blank gameboard template. I have used this for kindergarten centers. I have written in sight words and then made copies for groups to play. I'll use the school mascot (i.e. a paw print) as a free space. The students roll a die and have to be able to read the sight word they land on in order to stay on that spot.
Another idea for this printable is to use it as a sight word tracker. Fill each block with a different sight word and every month or two weeks, ask individuals to read through the maze, starring the ones they read correctly. Then they get to color in the blocks that are starred. Once the entire maze is colored in, they get to put their name on a wall, or pick a prize, or something along those lines.
You could also put addition problems in the blocks for first graders.
