As a teacher, I am always looking for ways to help other teachers save time! One of the biggest time-wasters for me in the classroom was having to post learning targets each day on the board. Sometimes, it was hard to come up with a concise learning target, and writing them on the white board meant that students would run their fingers through the target when I wasn't looking. Instead of writing and rewriting the learning targets, simply print the entire unit and post them on the board. Laminate them to save them from year-to-year.
This set of printable learning targets gives you the learning targets for an entire unit--just print and post! I have created a printable set of learning targets for each unit in the Algebra 1 curriculum, and a few of them overlap with Pre-Algebra and Algebra 2. Each unit has its own color and picture to help keep organizing easy for you!
This unit has learning targets for:
--Linear vs. non-linear graphs and expressions
--Solving one-step, two-step, and multi-step equations
--Solving equations with variables on both sides
--Solving equations using the distributive property
--Solving absolute value equations
--Solving literal equations
--Solving equations by combining like terms
--Determining how many solutions an equation has
--Checking your answer
