This activity involves counting and recognizing tally marks and numerals 11 to 20.
The child can count the marks in the picture, but soon they recognize the patterns. The task could be to clip a peg on the correct numeral; but you could also mark with counters, buttons, markers etc.
36 squares (approx 8.5 cm square) with a image of tally marks at the top, and a choice of 3 numbers underneath.
I usually cut and laminate the squares. They are more exciting printed on colored paper, but I also use as a whole sheet activity, and ask children to circle or mark the correct answer.
This is an extension of my cards 0-10.
I have similar sets of cards with finger counts, dice dots etc, so having more than one set allows students to play matching games.
