I love my anchor charts! They leave a trail of the work that we do in our class. These charts also define shared learning, provide visual support and create classroom references. The printable charts and graphic organizers in this pack are extremely useful in aiding my students in anchoring and organizing their thinking. Additionally, these graphics are excellent resources for evidence-based thinking and writing.
The charts can be printed poster-sized and/or 2-4 to a page for student notebooks and used for all things literacy: think-alouds, main idea, theme, text-dependent questions, figurative language in poetry, informational writing, narrative writing, opinion writing, understanding characters, close reading, author's craft, topic sentences, effective transitions, planning your writing.
Included are pages I call "Some thoughts about.." to provide my rationale for the item as well as teacher notes.
