This is the second of five booklets. The first four are at the K/1 level teaching how to make the letters and putting them in alphabetical order in meaningful groups. Fluent handwriting enables the child to concentrate on writing what he wants to say. It also helps the child to read because his familiarity with making letters and spelling words familiarizes him with the sounds of the code. Many kids who are behind in learning to read have gaps in handwriting skills. These booklets are preventative and corrective.
