This is the fourth of four booklets. They are at the K/1 level teaching how to make the letters and putting them in alphabetical order in meaningful groups. Skills are tracing, copying, and alphabetizing. Fluent handwriting enables the child to concentrate on writing what he wants to say. It also helps the child to read because his familiarity with making letters and spelling words familiarizes him with the sounds of the code. Many children who are behind in learning to read have gaps in handwriting skills. These booklets are preventive and corrective.
