Description

This reader's theater was written for a small group of 3. It is loosely based on Puss in Boots but has been twisted like my other reader's theaters. Students enjoy the comparing the original with this one using a Venn Diagram. In this script, Princess Priscilla loves to wear shoes until an ogre steals them all. She is forced to put on an old pair of boots and decides it is time to get her own shoes back!

I use reader's theaters to encourage my students to practice fluency. It is a fun way to do something that they need. My scripts are in black and white with only the occasional color picture on the front so they are easier and cheaper to photo copy. The problem with many other reader's theaters is that students spend a lot of time waiting for their part. When you have a small group they get more practice in and less off task behaviors take place.

My name is Melanie Whitesides but my store name is Wonbyone. If you enjoy this script, look for other twisted fairy tales at my site. You can even save money by buying them in packs! I hope that your students enjoy this script as much as mine did. Let me know how things go!
