Private "I" Processing is a pack to target language processing skills with a cute detective theme for later preschool & early elementary age students! This pack targets comparing/contrasting, category naming, word finding, and describing/attributes.
This pack includes the following:
*Compare/Contrast Binoculars: Have students provide 1 similarity and 1 difference for the items pictured in each pair of binoculars (21 cards)
Option 1: Present paper cards (objects) and have student name items & provide the category (or choose between 2 pencil cards/categories that are read aloud)
Option 2: Present the pencils (categories) & have students find the pad of paper containing the objects that correspond to the category

*Word Finding Detectives:
Answer questions such as "What barks?" for animal naming (12 cards), "What bounces?" for common noun naming (12 cards), and "What does a clock do?" for common verb naming (12 cards). Additionally, complete noun phrases such as "Wash your ___" and verb phrases such as "___ a bike" (18 noun phrase cards, 18 verb phrase cards)
27 cards for completing simple analogies
Read the word written on the bush for each card. Have the student give you a word associated with the word on the bush (27 cards + 9 blank cards to write in your own)
Have students describe/provide a definition for each item. Have them describe its function, category, parts, size/color, what it's made of, etc... Visual Aid included. 27 cards with pictures, 27 cards with text-only (same 27 items).
*Gameboard: Help the detective find the missing puppy!
