This lab has the students using a deck of cards and naming 12 different observations about a deck of cards. (If your students are not familiar with cards at all, I would suggest 15 minutes of Go Fish, to have them practice naming the cards and suits.) From their 12 pieces of information they are asked to create and answer their own questions. I tell my students they cannot have repeat answers.
My students have found this a fun and creative day.
