This set of 28 task cards can be used to help your students reinforce and extend their PROBABILITY & ODDS understanding and development. Each card has one task on it to help keep students motivated and help you differentiate instruction. In this set, the even numbered problems are generally more challenging than the odd numbered cards. The set includes practice in probability, odds, experimental vs. theoretical probability, simple, and compound probability. All task cards in this set are open response. Two types of student answer sheets are included. There is a full page answer sheet if you prefer students to show their work, or a half page answer sheet if you are keeping copy costs down. The answer key is given in two formats: 1) in task card form with the answer in red; and 2) as an answer key on the student answer sheet.
Printing and laminating the task cards will help to keep your copy costs down. If you want students to self-check their work, I suggest you laminate the answer cards, cut them out, and use a ring to hold the set together, or print them out on a different colored paper and put the answer key in a sheet protector (my preference when using learning stations). Recipe boxes, shoe boxes, or hanging pocket organizers are other great options for keeping your task cards together and organized.
Task cards can be used with individual students to target specific skills or as enrichment; in pairs or small groups using guided activities or seat work; or with the whole class using it as a game or learning stations. I hope you enjoy this set of task cards for years to come.
