This walks students through what the operations do in math, not using code words. My students use this when solving word problems. We go through this as we introduce the operations in word problems. We fill out an anchor chart and we spend a lot of time discussing what the operations mean. I have a blank copy for the students and have included a copy filled out for you to adjust as needed. I put the blank copy in students journal and as we fill out the anchor chart, they fill out each operation. We brainstorm the anchor chart together and I guide them to add more if necessary.
