This unit follows the ‘I do, We do, You do’ model. For each session it is recommended that you model how to use the strategy. Then you complete one as a whole class together. After this, students work through the strategy page in their workbook independently or with a learning partner.
This unit gave me enough sessions for a full term of work. I spend one of my Mathematics sessions each week working specifically on problem solving. Each week focuses on a different strategy. If you follow this approach you will have ten weeks worth of work plus a self-reflection sheet.
