Twenty-four task cards that are designed to add fun and excitement to practice activities involving perimeter. They are perfect for a math center, for small groups, and can even be used whole class.
Print the cards, either in color or black or white. They can be laminated for repeated use. To use whole class, you can post them around the classroom and allow time for students to solve each problem, and record answers on the answer sheet. Then give students Ipads or other devices and let them check their answers. Have them go back to problems they did not get right, and make corrections.
As an activity to begin your math lesson, you can divide students into small groups and give each group several of the problem cards. When every student in the group has answered each question, they can work as a group to scan QR codes and check answers. You can do this for several days, giving each student group a different set of cards each day, until every student has had a chance to do every problem.
These activities are great for a math center, especially if you have only one Ipad in your classroom. Students can even use a smartphone with a QR code reader to check their answers.
