Have you tried using a problem trail with your algebra and pre-algebra students? Students will enjoy getting to move around the room as they answer questions related to slope, y-intercept, slope-intercept form, and graphing.
Problem trails (scavenger hunts) encourage students to check their work carefully since an incorrect answer will eventually send them back to a problem they have already solved. Successfully completing a problem trail requires students who tend to work too quickly to slow down a bit.
Check out the preview for a better idea of the types of questions involved in this activity. Ten questions and a student outline are included.
