This product includes Problem of the Day activities for many 3rd grade domains:
- Number Sense
For fractions, students will practice representing a fraction in picture form, area models, number lines, and sum of unit fractions. Students will also determine whether the fraction is proper or improper as well as compare and generate equivalent fractions. All fraction halves to twelves are included in the examples portion as well as improper fractions up to numerator of twelve.
The geometry activity includes four options: blank, name options, attribute options, and name and attribute options for students to choose from. Students will determine the name of the chosen shape, attributes (angles, sides, vertices, polygon), perimeter, and area. Example shapes include: square, rectangle, rhombus, parallelogram, kite, circle, quadrilateral, hexagon, pentagon, octagon, nonagon, decagon, different types of triangles.
Time of the Day includes analog and digital clock, AM or PM, closest times, elapsed time, and a short calendar activity. Times included are intervals within five minutes as well as to the minute intervals.
The number sense activity includes even or odd, numerical/expanded/word form, rounding, adding, subtracting, modeling in different ways, and manipulation of digits practice. Included numbers range from hundreds to thousands.
